There is something to be said for getting out there, making friends, and shooting what you love.
I first met Alex at the industry opening for Joon Bridal a few months ago. I loved her spunky personality and we instantly hit it off. We made plans a few weeks later to eat at the new Mamaka Bowls in Fayetteville (so good, you have to try it if you’re local). It was there that I showed her a Pinterest board and talked about this idea I’ve been having of a bold, modern shoot. When her eyes lit up, I knew it was going to be AWESOME.
After working with Heidi at The Apollo on Emma, we decided on a date. Alex worked so hard creating, sourcing, and gathering other vendors to add their creative flair to the shoot. It was so fun to see everyone come together with their part to create one stunning vision.
Special thanks to all the vendors below. Thank you all for working so hard on this! And also below are ways to take ideas from this shoot and apply it to your own wedding!
Don’t be afraid to use “non-traditional” elements in your bridal ensemble. Black shoes, a stunning crystal hairpiece, white eyeliner, or bold jewelry can still look classy and gorgeous.
Having a portable focal piece at your ceremony can be a fun way to dress up your reception later! This copper arch with custom artwork hanging from it could not only be used as a ceremony backdrop, but it can be moved behind your cake, head table, or used as a photo booth backdrop at your reception later in your day.
Think outside the box. We put table numbers in picture frames and wrapped the bouquet in a fun piece of fabric. You can find inspiration everywhere!
