Jess + Scott got married at Moss Denver in Colorado.
As Jess folded up the letter Scott had written her, she wiped tears from her eyes. The letter was from the day they first met, the day Scott new he was going to marry her. And he kept that letter until their wedding day, when he left it for her at Moss Denver. It was a beautiful start to the most amazing day.
Jess and I met while working for a marketing agency 9 years ago. She is the most wonderful spirit, full of life and love. So down-to-earth, and so ready for a great time. I adore her, and was so thrilled to hear that she and Scott were engaged. Colorado is one of my favorite places on earth, so it was a joy to travel there again for their wedding. Moss Denver is the coolest venue I’ve ever seen, with multiple rooms for different parts of your day, the best light, and a living moss wall maintained by Project Floral, the floral shop right there in the same building!
Jess is a minimalist at heart, and incorporated greenery and industrial details into her day. I stood by her side while she set out the place cards, taking photos and catching up with this dear friend of mine. Funny story: as I looked at the names on the card, I noticed a familiar one. “I know a Matt Moorehead,” I said, thinking it was just a coincidence. Jess proceeded to tell me about this Matt, who went to college in Michigan and played soccer with Scott, who now lives in Denver himself.
“NO WAY,” I said, knowing it was the same guy I graduated high school with 12 years ago. What are the odds? It was crazy! And so good to see Matt and meet his lovely wife.
The day was filled with so much joy. I loved meeting their families, their first look (so sweet!), capturing their love, and so much more. Congratulations, Jess and Scott. Much love to you both!
Things I loved about their wedding:
- Their venue. So cool, so different, so full of light. The large windows are amazing!
- Their style. Jess’s shoes, Scott’s suit, their copper accents, the minimalism. Everything was perfect.
- Their first look. Opting for a first look in October was the way to go. We had plenty of time and light for photos, and we even got to go outside after the ceremony for a few more.
- Their party. Everyone danced. It was such a fun party. Loved every minute.
