Courtney and Chris and their sweet Arkansas elopement.
As Chris waited patiently for Courtney to round the corner at Autumn’s Ridge, he adjusted his jacket and tie for photos. “Okay, she’s coming,” I said, as he turned away from his bride. Courtney floated across the lawn, her Hayley Paige wedding dress gliding along with her, the sun shining through the blush pink layers, creating a stunning glow around her. Chris turned to look, and they were both so happy they couldn’t stop laughing. It was such a fun moment on their day.
Chris and Courtney’s joy for each other shows through their daughter, Zola. Full of curiosity and love for her parents and life, Zola was so much fun to have around this day. She loved the flowers, danced in her dress, and even tried the sparkling juice during the toast. I loved the little moments they had with her throughout the afternoon.
Before the ceremony, Chris and Courtney read private vows to each other under the large trees in the front lawn of their venue. Courtney wiped tears away as she smiled at Chris, then hugged him tightly under the shade. It was so sweet. Afterward, we had time to capture Courtney’s GORGEOUSNESS in her amazing gown. She twirled and smirked, and totally killed it. It was so much fun being a part of their endearing elopement.
Congratulations, Courtney and Chris! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of such a special day!
Things I loved about Chris and Courtney’s Wedding:
- They did a first look, so we had lots of time for portraits with just the two of them.
- They read private vows to each other before the ceremony, which was so special and amazing to capture.
- After their ceremony and small cupcake/champagne toast, they changed and went to dinner! How fun!
Elopements have my heart. My own husband and I eloped in Vegas in 2012, and there’s just something about these sweet, special days. You get to focus on each other, on the people that mean most to you. You have more time for portraits with each other, more time to breathe, and more time to eat or dance or jet off to your honeymoon. If you’re thinking about eloping this year, get in touch and let’s chat!
