I first met Carine and David over FaceTime. My sweet daughter was home at the time, and would come in every so often with a request while we all chatted. Because these two were so patient and kind as I took care of Ava during our call, I knew that they were the type of people I wanted to work with. They were so understanding, and so excited about their lives together.
David is from Barbados, and Carine is from Brazil, so they have wonderful family coming in from everywhere for their wedding. You can tell when you meet them that they genuinely care about everyone they interact with, especially each other. The way they look at each other, and stand next to each other, and walk together. They fit so well and care so much.
We started their session in Bentonville at Skylight Cinema. The winter light streaming in during the day is unreal at this place. Carine and David are casually cool and so effortless. I loved laughing with them and watching them hang together.
After the cinema we went up to Bella Vista at Tanyard Creek. It was one of those unusually warm winter days we were having in Arkansas, so everyone was out enjoying it. We found the best spots and had the best light. We had the sweetest moments and the most fun that afternoon.
As we headed back to the parking lot, we found a gorgeous spot beneath a tree for their last photos together. They held each other, and David played with Carine’s hair, and that little gesture said everything about their love for each other. I can’t wait for their wedding in May. It’s going to be so amazing.
