Emily’s Historic Washington State Park Bridals in Arkansas
I met Emily last year when her and Philip came to my office to meet and chat about being their wedding photographer for their super sweet and personal wedding at Historic Washington State Park. Emily’s bright eyes and even brighter personality immediately drew me in. She is so kind, so strong, and so gorgeous both inside and out. The love her and Philip have for each other is both light-heartedly fun and intimately sweet. I adore being around them and was so excited when Emily said she wanted to do her bridals at her wedding location.
Historic Washington State Park is tucked away outside Hope, AR, 4 hours south of Fayetteville. Filled with historic homes, taverns, churches, and more, it’s a beautiful setting for events. Emily and I hopped in a rental and made the drive down, chatting about everything from her future dreams to our favorite children’s books. I love her spirit and loved that I really got to know her and this lovely town she grew up in before she got in front of my camera.
Emily picked up her florals from Bitsy at Hope Floral, and her gorgeous hair was done by Terra Butler at One24 Salon in Hope. Her stunningly unique dress is from LUXEredux in Ohio. Her and Philip were married last month, and I can’t wait to show you more soon.
Fun fact about the photo below. This is the oldest, largest Magnolia tree in the state of Arkansas. Isn’t it magnificent? When Emily told me it was in the park, I said “yes, of course we have to take a photo in front of it.” And we took a bunch.
